The Garnet & Gold Tailgate is the heart of the student gameday experience at Florida State University!

The Garnet & Gold Tailgate is a Division of Student Affairs Student Engagement sponsored program revolving around the football schedule at Florida State University. The Garnet & Gold Tailgate are held prior to most home football games. The tailgates start 3 hours prior to kick–off in Union Green and end 1 hour before kickoff starts. These events are alcohol and tobacco free to encourage students to limit engaging in high–risk behavior and to provide a safe space for students who participate in game day activities. The Garnet & Gold Tailgate initiative was started in 2007.
