Tailgating Safety Tips

While our usual programming would be provided in-person 2 hours before kick-off, our current focus is placed on engaging students virtually. Part of this includes providing suggestions on how to celebrate gameday safely, while still having fun. Here are some things to keep in mind when planning your gameday experience.

  • Catch up with friends, family back home, or classmates across campus by hosting a virtual watch party!
  • Limit your physical interaction to a small group of people (10 people or less). If you have roommates or family members in your household, try to plan a day within that group! Of course, wear your mask if you interact with anyone outside your home, whether you’re dropping by the store or fueling up your car before gameday.
  • When possible, host your get together outdoors. The airflow will be better and you’ll have plenty of space to spread out, turn on the game, and socialize safely!
  • Keep your grill clean and your hands cleaner! Keep that hand sanitizer around, and trade those high fives for fist bumps.
